Lufthansa 1st Class 747
First Class Travel has taken a new direction with courtesy of Lufthansa who continue to raise the bar, now 1st Class Lufthansa passengers can enjoy a separate fully flat bed in addition to a sumptuous chair.
Lufthansa was one of the first Airlines to offer a dedicated First Class Terminal based at it's Frankfurt hub.
Lufthansa has set a new standard in First Class Travel by introducing a new style of Travel on 9 of it's 747 Aircraft with three more scheduled in 2012 on the busy Business routes so that First Class passengers are appointed a luxurious seat and a separate bed.
In a statement, Lufthansa says they are entering new territory with its first class seating concept. The window seats will be converted into full-length, lie-flat beds with a sleeping surface (over two metres in length) and a top quality mattress which the airline claims will guarantee seat comfort.

Passengers in the new Lufthansa first class cabin will not only have the latest sumptuous seat but also a separate bed. Sound-absorbing curtains and sound-deadening insulation beneath the carpet will ensure that passengers enjoy the necessary peace and quiet,” claims Lufthansa.
What it means is the number of seats on the B747-400’s upper deck will be reduced from 16 to only eight. Seating will be configured just 1-1 with the bed positioned alongside the window for added privacy.
