No7 Agency has awarded "HOTEL PALM BEACH" an award for bring the worst Hotel in Benidorm. The Hotel is swamped with drunk Stag & Hen Partys, the staff cannot be trusted as they stole my Blackberry that had a €450 Crocodile cover that was a gift, I had that Blackberry many years and they stole it!
The worst Hotel in Benidorm
Having been invited to a friends STAG WEEKEND IN BENIDORM and not wanting to stay at a 2 star Hotel I booked the "HOTEL PALM BEACH" that was advertised as a 4 Star Hotel and is situated just outside of town at the top of cardiac hill unless you are super fit this is a very steep hill and not suitable for families with young children or the elderly or if you have had one to many vinos take a Taxi it will cost you around €15 from the centre of Benidorm town.
Having traveled around the globe staying in all types of Hotels and Hostels I have got to say that this is the worst Hotel I have ever stayed at in 40 years! I now wish I had booked in to the same Hotel as the rest of the Stag party as there Hotel was really nice and they had WIFI.

“Blackberry Stolen, No WIFI, Rude reception staff that slam down phone on you”
This is not a four star Hotel.
NO WIFI - NO INTERNET - THEFT FROM ROOM
CORRIDORS SMELL OF VOMIT - LOUD STAG & HEN PARTIES
This is a Hotel that appears to cater heavily towards rowdy Stag & Hen parties that take over the pool all day with heavy drinking and language. I was staying in the "Don Jorge" apartments situated behind the Hotel, the apartments have excellent views of Benidorm, I was on the 21st floor and was in apartment 21E, this is a very modern "clean" apartment and has a fully fitted kitchen with big fridge.
There is no WIFI and no internet in the Hotel or the apartments. :(
I arrived on the Friday afternoon having made a reservation on the telephone that day with a very friendly lady that explained the Hotel was fully booked, all she had left was a two bedroom apartment, she quoted me €138 for two nights so I accepted. I arrived at the Hotel at 5pm and was asked to pay in advance and pay a €100 deposit for the key.
I enquired “so I have a two bedroom apartment?” the response was “why do you need two bedrooms? You are only one person” I explained that this is what I had booked. I was given the classic “no no no” by the grumpy reception staff and told that there was only a one bedroom apartment available. This was a shame as some friends where staying the other side of town had said that they would crash at my apartment that night as we where planning a visit to Altea the following morning. I explained that I had reserved a two bedroom and was told “ no possible, no possible” little did I know at this stage that things would get worse and worse.
I went to get my friend at 10am following morning who was staying in the main Hotel and found a semi naked lad of about 21 laying in a pool of vomit in the hall way, the maids appeared not to even notice him, I borrowed a towel from my friend helped him up & gave him a cup of water he staggered off towards the lifts.
After a great lunch in Altea decided to have a siesta before heading out for 2nd in Benidorm, this was impossible as the apartment above me was occupied by a bunch of lads that seemed oblivious to the noise caused by dragging furniture around on a marble floor. The Hotel pool was a no go zone as it was packed out with 7/8 stag party’s consisting of lads that had far to much to drink chanting various songs etc and girls falling over drunk.
If you have kids or taking the Mrs away then avoid this Hotel as the language is foul and the constant moonies will drive you mad.
My 2nd night out was a repeat of the night before in down town Benidorm, surrounded by people that could barely walk and fights everywhere so decided to call it a night, got back to apartment at 1am only to find that the heard of Rhino in the apartment above had decided to stay in and have a party! Great! I decided I had enough so packed my case and thought I can be home in Torrevieja in an hour and a half and get a decent nights sleep.
I went to reception collected my deposit after someone had gone to check the room, and got home just before 3am only to realise that I had left my Blackberry on the bed, I know this for a fact as I had sent a text message to my friend to let him know I was leaving.
As soon as I got home I e-mailed the Hotel to let them know and to give me a call as soon as they found it. I called the Hotel at 10am only to be told that the cleaners had found nothing and that they had sent me an e-mail.
I explained that I had not received an e-mail and was told “You use the wrong e-mail” the only e-mail on the website is resevas@palm-beach-hotel.com I was told to call back Monday, when I called back on the Monday I explained that I had left my Blackberry in the room on the bed and was told “they find nothing” so I asked who “they was” I was told “the cleaner she find nothing” so I asked what the name of the cleaner was as I was going to make a crime report, I was told that no way would he tell me the name of the cleaner so I asked what is your name? he responded “Tolo” so I asked for his 2nd name and he said “Tolo” so I asked him so your name is Tolo Tolo? “NO just Tolo” he then put the phone down on me, I called back and there was no answer, I called back again and there was still no answer, what sort of Hotel is this? After calling the Hotel 6 times with nobody picking up I was furious.
I had a call from a friend at this time who I had mentioned this issue and he said “Look at Tripadvisor” another guest had the same issue having left clothing in the wardrobe that was stolen after she left.
I read the reviews and noticed that the Hotel Manager had responded to some comments so called back and asked for the Manager claiming to be calling from www.tripadvisor.co.uk I was speaking to the Manager within 60 seconds and explained what had happened and he asked me to e-mail him my details etc. I asked him for his e-mail address and he said reservas@palm-beach-hotel.com
I pointed out that I was told that the room was cleaned Sunday morning, then when I called on Monday I was told that the room was cleaned Tuesday morning.
After several calls and e-mails to the Manager I eventually received a response from him suggesting that I lost the Blackberry on my way home, and that they are not responsible.
If you enjoy;
Poor customer care
Rude reception staff (nice one Tolo)
Having personal property stolen
Noisy drunk fellow residents
A good chant such as "here we go, Here we go, here we go
Then this is a perfect choice.
Benidorm is a fantastic place to party, there are loads of great bars and fantastic comedians, entertainers etc PLEASE do not be put off. I only wish I had checked Tripadvisor before booking this Hotel. If you do not mind paying top dollar then I can recommend the Barcelo Asia Gardens.
I have travelled around the world and have to say this is the worst Hotel experience ever.
Room Tip: 21st floor apartments have great view

Here are some other Tripadvisor reviews;
not a 4* hotel, but saying that room n hotel was clean, food was nice, beware you may have to queue for up to 30 mins before you are seated at a table to eat. Not all rooms are pool veiw as it states in brochure.Staff were fine n very pleasant. My main gripe is the amount of stag and hen parties they take when ther are a lot of families with small children. I would not sit round the pool with no children dont want to listen to bad language n feel on edge all day. The worst thing was the noise in restaurant it is like being in a school canteen but i think all inc. are noisy.

THEFT FROM ROOM
Stayed here 3 nights all inclusive 24-27th march. Had a really great time until I returned home to realise I had left an expensive item of clothing in my wardrobe I'm my room. I telephoned the hotel immediately only to be told there was nothing in my wardrobe, I know for a fact that it was in the wardrobe and suggested that maybe the cleaner may know where it has vanished to? I was told to ring back on several occasions and the receptionist just kept saying there's nothing in the room the room is empty! The manager was always out or in a meeting. I feel really let down and disappointed with this situation and would just like others to be warned.... If you do decide to go to this hotel then don't leave anything behind and don't trust the cleaner!

Hello
I left my Blackberry telephone, it is the very old model, it has all my business contacts it also has €450 crocodile holster, I have had this telephone 6 years. I am sick.
I have tried to make investigation on Sunday morning & today but have received two different stories.
I left the telephone on the bed in apartment 21E in “Don Jorge”
I do not wish to make a big deal, I am happy to pay €100 to get the telephone back if it can be found as a finders fee.
I appreciate your help.
I then sent this e-mail
If it helps;
I checked out at 1.30am – The reception radio someone to go check the room.
I called the Hotel at 11am on Sunday and was told the room had been cleaned and nothing found.
I called Monday morning 11am and was told that the room was cleaned “that” morning. (why cleaned twice??)
I know it sounds weird but the phone has real sentimental value as it was a gift from a great friend in UK, the Crocodile holster cost a lot of money.
Please keep me posted.
Jason
This is what the Hotel Manager said when I sent in a complaint!
After our conversation, we checked every thing, and the phone was not there. Well, the day of your check out you write (bellow), some body of reception, and call by radio, to check your apartment to know if every thing was ok. Right, in this first moment, we do not found anything about your phone (while you were in reception), and you do not remember you phone in this moment.
We need two days to clean this apartment, because we got X time to do it, your apartment need more time, because need it. We looked (by myself) every where at the apartment, and was not there. Is possible, you lost during your back to home, and you think was in the apartment.
Our staff does not get anything. I can understand your feelings, but we are not the responsible of it, because you said you forget there, but it is not there. It is the same example, if you say; we forget a pocket wallet with thousand pounds. What we have to do? Just give back thousand ponds, because anybody say this? I am so sorry Mr. Hardin, but your phone was not there. I understand you, but we can not do anything else more.
You do all that you thing you have to do, but we too.
I am so sorry, and if do you need any information, we are here,
Thanks and sorry
How on earth does it take two days to clean a one bedroom apartment?
My cleaner takes 2 hours to clean my two bedroom apartment...
Congratulations!

Dissapppointed in this hotel, not 4 star more like 3. Bar staff ignorant unless you are Spanish. rooms ok ish, beds comfy though. old portable tv all in Sanish except for sky news, Same food every day. Nothing special on the menu. Pool cleaned every day, Sun loungers stacked far too high, we had to help the older people to get them down, but they were lowered and put out when Spanish stayed during our last week (first week in Oct, don't go then) Only a slide and small swing for the kids, child minding service closed. Very rude barman, would give us 2 drinks at a time for the first week but only 1 after then we had to queue for 20 mns each. Noisy stag parties shouting over balcony, would go to benidorm again but would stay near the beach and not all inclusive as the bar food is great and cheap.night life brilliant. would not recommend this hotel ever.

“Totally unsuitable for wheelchairs”
First impressions nice hotel. But for a wheelchair user this hotel is totally unsuitable. Ramp at front entrance is far to steep and slippery, lifts are very tight you have to angle the wheelchair in then squeeze in, passageways to rooms are very narrow if maids are cleaning rooms there is no way you can pass without asking the maid to remove they carts from passage to let you pass they then have to pull they carts into a room or out of the passage. The disabled toilet is down stairs in the bar for wheelchairs they are one in the ladies and mens out side dinning room but is no use if you are unable to walk. There is a very steep hill to ge down to the town there is a free bus, you get tickets at desk, first bus is 10am but the bus stops for three hours in afternoon and the last bus is 10 30pm if you want to go back to the hotel when they are off you have to walk up a steep hill or get a taxi and it is not easy getting a wheelchair friendly one, it is also a bit more exspensive as they put the metre on as soon as they stop then they have to load the wheelchair on which take time. If you want to walk up it is very hard going I would not recommend this hotel for anyone with walking difficitlies or wheelchair user.

“Food good-not a four star”
Reception staff polite, had a room 229. Room walls paper thin heard everything through walls. The corridor carpet is disgusting, bleach been split on the floor and not been hoovered for years. Maids clean rooms every day which is good. The girl on the till in the restaurant is very polite, and always asks if you enjoyed your meal. The food is nice in the restaurant, but I was poorly on the Sunday after tea with sickness, and my husbands pork was red inside.
The bus does not come every 30 mins, but it is still handy to have. It is ok walking down the hill but a bit steep going up, you dont notice after a few drinks.
Never came in after 1am, but could imagine Benidorm town would not be nice in the early hours of the morning. Seen a lad who had been glassed in town on my way home on the coach to the airport.
Overall not a four star, maybe a two star. Never used the pool but it looked ok.

“Rude Hotel Staff Ruined our Stay !”
Reviewed 8 September 2010
Arrived with my sister and 6 friends for 3 days for her Hen Do. On arrival, hotel looked clean and welcoming. Our first stop was the restaurant where the waitress took our orders for drinks, only half the party arrived then 5 mins later the other half, she shouted that all orders had to be give at one time.
After an afternoon of shopping, half of us went to meet the girls by the pool, we had some wine in our supermarket bags to take home to our husbands, the big headed pool (SOS) lifeguard with his mirrored sunglasses demanded we give him the bag of wine, I explained it was presents and that I had just paid for a drink at the bar, he then snatched the bag off me and locked it behind the bar, refusing to give it back until I left the pool, I have never been treated or spoken to like this anywhere!! ..... We tried to complain but they came out laughing and talking in Spanish to the lifeguard ..... we would never stay at this hotel again, and advise all British people to stay away , we were treated so differently to the Spanish guests,
BE WARNED !!

“First Time To Benidorm”
This was our first time to Benidorm and was looking forward to a relaxing week at the Palm Beach Hotel; however things didn’t go as we planned. We went at the end of August for a week.
The hotel I would say is a 3 star and the decor needs to be updated especially the rabbit warrens style corridors to the bedrooms. However the reception, restaurant, indoor lounge, outside seating and pool areas were cleaned daily. The hotel is geared towards Spanish and other foreigners, the British guests came last. Most hotel staff was friendly and if you were pleasant with them they were pleasant with you.
On a positive note the food in the restaurant had a good choice especially the selection of an English breakfast. However if you don’t go all inclusive I would advise you not to sneak food out at breakfast time (unless you have a big bag or you are invisible), the reason I am saying this is that an English family got stopped on the way out and was given the choice of paying for the food that they were accused of stealing or police would be called. We watched non English guests fill their bags up but didn’t get stopped. Go early to the restaurant to avoid any queuing as the English guests are the only ones who know how to queue correctly.
The all inclusive rule of 11am to 11pm drinks was the worst, we were ONLY allowed to order 2 drinks per guest but the week before we was told that the bar staff limited it to 1 drink per guest as the hotel was full. The bar did have a section for the all inclusive but keep an eye out for some guests pushing to the front.
Pool area, the pool itself seemed to be adequate on photos however in reality it was too small for the amount of guests that was staying when large inflatable tyres was thrown in and used. Do not take or buy any lilos as they was not allowed to be used in the pool, cant understand what is the difference between a large tyre and lilo? Sun loungers, there was not enough to go round and you had to get down to the pool for 8.30am to queue to be the first to run for a lounger when the pool opens at 9.00am. Good advice is to limber up and do stretchers in order to beat other guest before the dash to get a lounger. Talking to guests who were there on their second week said that the week before the queue was heading back up towards the reception area.
Entertainment Simon Cowell doesn’t need to loose any sleep. Entertainment during the day were almost none existent even though different activities were advertise, night time entertainment started at 10pm for the none English speaking kids as that’s when they came out after their evening meal, the English kids was sitting around doing nothing while waiting and when they played any games the entertainers spoke English last. Adult entertainment started at 11pm after the all inclusive finished which lasted for about 30mins, better entertainment you will find down town.
The dreaded hill, we new about this as my wife recently had a hip operation and we were expecting it. We use the free bus which stopped next to the hotel to get to the beach, time table and bus tickets available from reception, we used to get a taxi back which cost between 4 (day time) and 7 Euros (night time). You can also get bus tickets to get the bus into town, however you had walk down part of the hill to get to the nearest bust stop, and we didn’t fancy walking down the hill so didn’t adventure on this.
Over all we did have an enjoyable first time in Benidorm, we will go back but not to the Palm Beach Hotel. We did take note of other hotels in the centre of Benidorm and which are closer to the night life.

“Do not book all inclusive, you will be treated like a leper!”

We have just returned from a break at this hotel and can tell you the following....The good....the food is quite simplistic, a little repetitive but there is plenty of it. The bad.... you must arrive early for every meal or you will endure queues that will last in excess of 45 minutes, don´t expect to find curry, chilli con carne, spag bol or anything like that on the menu, it´s not!
The good.....the hotel is not in a bad state however it is not anywhere near four stars, at best it could be described as a good 2 star.
Evening entertainment....hmmmmmm Can only be described as spectacularly mundane, every night the same routine until 23:00 and then they role out some act to supply you with all the incentive you need for a good early night.
The pool is almost adequate however the sun lounger to guest ratio is farsical, suffice to say you will need to go elsewhere if what you want is to relax poolside without having to compete fiercely. Location....Yes it is on a hill, it really depends on your abilities and your party composition. With children it´s about a fifteen minute walk to the beach going downhill and on the way back expect to hear "carry me".
Room service, towels were changed and a quick wipe out, which for us was ok, just happy not to be robbed like others have experienced. Cleaning and restaurant staff very efficient and capable. Car parking is free on a first come first served basis.
Unfortunately, I save the worst for last. As you may have read from other reviews, Spanish guests are given a much different experience to foreigners. However we live in Spain, my children are Spanish as is my wife and consequently we all speak Spanish.
I have never in my life heard such rude and arrogant bar staff attending to foreiign customers. As a competent Spanish speaker I was appalled by the level of insults and subsequent denials generated on an every day basis. If you are tempted to book all inclusive, don´t, no really just don´t you will enjoy much better service in town.

Stayed at many 4 star hotels, this is not one. Food just edible, no variety and bland. By the middle of the week had to go else where outside hotel. Room dark small and smelly. We were lucky enough to be offered new appartment in building next to hotel (33rd floor) this made our stay more enjoyable. Offered because we had 14yr old daughter and 8yr old son, and our tour operator only booked 1 room for us. On the plus side the all inclusive drinks were nice but they would only let you order yr own drink. Mainly spainish people there and the evening entertainment was there for them only! Watch out if yr child plays in hotels football pitch. My son of 8yrs was chopped down by the spanish every time as he skilled past them (they were much older). First time to Benidorm and the last!

“Not what i expected stayed in much better 3 star hotels this is not a 4 star hotel.”
Arrived home yesterday from staying at the Palm Beach Hotel in Benidorm.
I have been going to Benidorm for 14 years and this is the worst hotel ive stayed in so far. We booked a weeks all inclusive from the 10th of August to the 17th. In this hotel the all inclusive bar stopped at 11 o clock at night, since we have been going to Benidorm the all inclusive bars in all hotels have always gone on to serve untill 12 midnight but since we returned this year its now changed to 11. In Palm beach hotel the outside bar had a sign on the top saying " All inclusive here" we assumed that we had to que for drinks there so we qued there for our drinks, one of the bar staff was very rude to us and told us to join the back of the que if we wanted to be served, we pointed out the sign and said, all inclusive is here mate. So then we had to go to the back of the que. Also at the hotel there is Alot of Spanish there, that stay there for a month most of them were rude pushing past the English. The Spanish also got served at the bar before the all inclusive English people. The ques get quite long aswell including for when breakfast/lunch and dinner open, we found that its best to eat early when it opens. The food had a good range of different things to eat however we soon got fed up as most of the food tastes the same every night, the bread there is stale too, 2 nights we went out for dinner and found a good pub called the Yorkshire Pride great value for money had a Sunday Roast there plates were massive lots of meat veg gravey and cost £6.
The rooms in the hotel were small and dingy definatly need upgrading! We passed the Ambassoder hotel and they even had flat screen Tv s in there rooms! The beds gave us all bad backs, we found that over the weeks stay the room was never cleaned properly. The maid just wiped the bathroom over and the surfaces put towels in and went. The second day we went to the beach as you could imagine sand gets everywhere and the floor in our room was not sweept over the whole week we where there. The balcony was not sweept dirty fag ash and buts where on there. The entertainment in the hotel was mostly aimed at the Spanish children, could not understand it anyway. The kids disco did not start until 9 o clock when in other hotels it starts at 7. This is part of a con as they put the kids disco on late then at 11 they put on a show meaning at 11 the bar stops for all inclusive so you have to buy your drinks after. The hotel is far situated away from the main drag of shops bars and resturants.
We are used to staying nearer the centre where you find these. Its also situated on a Hill far away. the hotel provide a free bus service for the beach and the old town however the bus runs every 30 mins on the hour and half. The last bus stops running at 21.30 so after that you would have to walk up the hill. I would not recomend this to oap's or people with difficulties that would struggle. The hills are quite steep and slippery make sure you have good grip on your shoes! We used the free bus service to go to the Old Town in Benidorm to do some shopping, On our way back we went to the bus stop and waitied for the bus, there were quite a few people hanging around waiting for the bus, the bus arrived and the Spanish pushed my family to get on the bus One of them pushed my Daughter (aged 16) so she turnt round and pushed him back while all this distraction went on while trying to get on the bus my husband got pick pocketed and had his wallet nicked in this included £10 English money 25 Euroes and all credit cards! We phoned the bank straight away after we realised when we got back to the hotel and got them blocked. In Benidorm its well known for pick pocketing it also happened to my husbands brother when he was out there,
Make sure you know where your money is at all times and keep a close eye out if theres anything such as a small distraction it could happen. In the hotel there was no safe's in the room and also no secUrity on site. If you wanted to use a safe you had to ask at reception hand over everything you wanted to put in the safe because the safe was behind reception this cost £17 Euroes. Ive stayed at better 3 star hotels that have safes included in rooms and security on site. If you wanted a sunbed round the pool you'd have to be lining up like school children in a playground at 8.40 in the morning because the pool opened at 9.am and by 9.30 there were no sunbeds left.
Luckily we met some good people out there which we had a good time with, our friends also came up from there villa and joined us for a drink and we also went out for dinner with them. However of the bad points we did enjoy the sun very hot had a bit of rain and thunder and lighting which didnt bother us as we arrived that day and we watched out the balcony. Also enjoyed the pool and sunbathing, at least we got to relax in the end, done lots of shopping out there and brought back some nice things. Even though weve been comming to Benidorm for 14 years i think its time to try somewhere new now, if we did return in the future i would not use this hotel again.

“For the Spanish and staff make it clear Spanish come first”
I lived in Spain for seven years so understand and can speak Spanish, hence my title for this reveiw. The staff treat english guests with utter contempt and call them fools, idiots, wasters, bad mannered, fat slobs to name a few. The one drink all inclusive rule only applies to the english if your spanish you can have as many drinks as required. The hotels pool is far to small for the amount of rooms it has and results in no sun beds available after 9 am which is absolutely ridiculous.
The hotel is a 2 star uk standard at best. My advice would be either try the Melia or the Hotel Deluix who value english customers and do not treat them as second class customers which in tourism is an absolute disgrace.
If the managers of this hotel maybe came out of their offices on the ground floor and actually looked what was going on around them they maybe would realise why tourism in Spain is on the decline and the economy is in such a bad way !
Your staff are driving customers away and you arent aware !!!!!!!!
Note from No7 : "your Staff are also stealing from the guests!!!!"

Me 21 and my brother 18 went to benidorm for a week. On arrival to this hotel it looked fantastic. Rooms restaraunt and other areas are clean tidy and look welcoming. You check in at the reception were the man serving us couldnt understand english. anybody with a pushchair had to drop it and carry their child down the corrodors as they are too narrow to fit the pushchair down which people were finding very frustrating especially if children were sleeping. 1 Couple had a double pushchair and this wouldnt fit in the lift. The room was nice with everything you could need.
The restaraunt was great food lovly always something to eat and table service for drinks. 1 particular member off staff (he appeared to be the restraunt manger) blew hot and cold 1 day he was really nice next really rude he picked on English quite a lot and told me not to wear a vest top but then watched groups of spanish men walking in wearing vests. The bar service was slow but was very busy for first few days due to spanish being there for the world cup. We got sat in a group and 2 of us would go to the bar and get 4 drinks save everybody getting up and this wasnt an issue untill around the 4 day of our stay when the spanish had left the hotel and all english guests were being shouted at as the went to the bar if they ordered more than 2 drinks even if 1 was a water. 1 night me and my brother went in to town for a meal I didnt have any alcohol whilst out of the hotel i went to the bar at the hotel and ordered a drink and around 10mins later went up for another 1 the bar man began screaming at me everybody in the bar area turned to look he was shouting at me in spanish so i couldnt understand him a woman who was sat with us spoke spanish and luckily dealt with the situation and i got my drink.
She told me he was sayingt i was too drunk and he wasnt serving me again id had 2 drinks and was sat chatting with friends we had met i wasnt loud or dancing on tables or anything so didnt understand why he would think i was drunk. this same bar man said to me the following night dont forget to tip me!!! during the day you have to be up before 9am to get a sun lounger/umbrella which is realy bad as you cant get a drink of pop/water or anything untill the bar opened at 11 oh yes all inclusive bar only open 11-11 stricktly. town was around a 20minute walk but during my stay the heat made it overpowering to walk anywere but the free busses were great just ask at reception for passes .
I usually really enjoy markets on holiday dont bother with this 1 it really busy you can find the products cheaper in the shops and its like christmas for pick pockets police are everywere. we went to the water park one day which was amazing lots of slides wave pool it really was a good day out. Cleaners did not clean room very well lots of guests were complaining that bins hadnt been emptied tables not wiped down etc. we paid £700 for 2 of us for a week and most had paid the same we met an older couple who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary the paid £1800 for 10 days. Lots of guests hated this hotel and we were offered by 3 sets of people to swap flight they would pay the fees so they could go home early.
I was happy to get home. I will not be returning to Benidorm it really is a hot blackpool it stinks of drainage and all the shops sell flashing magic wands yoyos and jumping puppies. I didnt rate the hotel very well although other guests did enjoy their stay. go somewere else maybe canary islands Benidorm is a dump!!!

FILTHY NASTY ROBBING STAFF - MONEY STOLEN FROM ROOM
Just back from 11 days at the Palm Beach Hotel. Great at first, clean, friendly staff, nice pool etc but then..... Arrived on the Saturday then on the Monday, to my utter dismay the building work from the surrounding sites started from 8am to 8pm! Remarked on this to the reception staff who commented that my tour agent should have informed me of the building work when I booked the holiday (they didn't, thanks Expedia!) Could things get worse? yeap they could and they did! The music from the restaurant which initially was played inside was moved to outside so that it could be heard half way down the hill! was played from 8pm to 12midnight and I thought down-graded the hotel considerably! ....... Then money was stolen from my room and when I enventually got to speak to the manager about it the night before I was to return home, he was less than sympathetic towards me! and frankly needed some customer relations training! I never retrieved my money and I come back to england with a bitter taste in my mouth!......I won't be going abck to the Palm Beach Hotel!!........

Nice break, but wouldn't stay at Palm Beach again
Customer rating: 27 April 2011
The entrance to the hotel is quite grand. The staff are friendly enough but not overly. The restaurant staff are more pleasant. The food was OK, but nothing seemed to be hot. It's a family orientated hotel so if you want peace and quiet, this isn't the hotel for you as lots of kids were about. However, I didn't see any kids clubs. The family entertainment started at 10.00pm and the acts started at about 10.45pm which was a bit late for me after a day out. There wasn't Wi-Fi access as advertised so you have to use the hotel facility which didn't work when I tried it. The rooms are kept clean, but the corridor carpet needs a good clean as do the bannisters on the staircases. I've stayed in nicer 4* hotels. The beach isn't too far away, but you need a good pair of walking shoes to deal with the hills.

TOO NOISY
The hotel was great, up a bit of a hill but not a real problem. Food was fab, hotel was clean, rooms could do with updating, there were 4 couples in our party and the major complaint we had was the beds, the noise they made when you move on them was terrible you couldn't turn over without the whole hotel hearing you and that was the beds in all four bedrooms. Also there is a disco in the hotel open from 11pm till 7am and there was a lot of noise with people shouting to each other until the disco closed. We would stay here again though, really nice hotel.

- Hotel review - Reviews of Hotel Palm BeachThe hotel is situated some distance from the town at the top of the hill, to walk down is not a problem but it`s a struggle to walk back.
The staff are friendly and efficient. The entertainment is poor unless you speak fluent spanish and like dancing. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortably enough for a short break. The food was very good and plentiful. There is no view really unless you like other hotels. Benidorm is lovely and we had a nice break because the weather was nice but if the weather is inclement Palm Beach would not be the place to stay because of its location.
Quite honestly the down side is the basic rooms which could do with upgrading.

Sorry to say, I was very dissapointed with the stay. I was also very unhappy that the room was not as displayed on the web site, it was smaller and not very welcoming.
The hotel is lovely. The reception staff we dealt with leave a lot to be desired - NOT welcoming or friendly. Disappointed no tea/coffee making facilities in room. Also didnt state on web site what board was included, on arrival discovered NO food included at all. Web page also didnt display "Junior Suites" were available in this hotel, which is what we chose to stay in but only knew of these rooms upon arrival.

Sep 2008, Mr S THIEL
Booked this hotel thinking it was a 4 star but got more of a 2 star+. The hotel from the out-side looks fine but our room was in need of a good make over, a lick of paint wouldn't go a miss, the towel rack was hanging off but the room cleaning was every day with beds changed every day too. The eating area is good but the food basic and very spanish, the menu looks good and presented well but the food not so the ribs were fatty and not cooked enough, the shops were grissely. DON'T get me wrong im a big eater and love good food but on this holiday found myself filling up on pasta, rice and chips with the odd pork escolope thrown in but that was it. On our departure date back to the UK our transfere was due before breakfast was served so we asked for a packed lunch for 7am that morning which we were given in a fancy box which really was the best thing about it as it was made up of what looked like 3 pieces of left over cake from the day befores buffett wrapped in cling film 3 pieces of fruit and not a sandwich in site fine if you have a sweet tooth, we both looked at each other and laughed and proseeded to put the job lot in the bin as we waited for our coach. Also the hills are a killer we are both fit and really suffered.
We have stayed at a few 4 star hotels all HB and have been very satisfied with the whole holiday the last one being Hotel Atlantica Bay in Limassol Cyprus which is a 4 star hotal and is magic but the Palm Beach doesn't have a mark on this or any other one we have stopped in. How the hotel has a rating 4 star is beyond me and needs re-assesing and i can safely say we won't be going back to that hotel but Benidorm yes we will.

Im shocked by peoples comments about the hotel. An obvious fault, being the hill which you have to climb up to get to the hotel from the beach has been overlooked by many people who have wrote reviews. That was a problem which we found.
I found that the food was poor apart from the rare occasion of something nice. The food is basic, ranging from freezer food to pasta and chips.
Apart from the over rated reception area and the toilets on the ground floor, the rooms were simple and the cleaning was also average on most days.
I think 4 stars is too much, as I felt that the hotel met the minimum requirements.
I wouldn't go back to this hotel again.

“OK if your Spanish”
How this Hotel is a 4 star ill never know, not once were sunbeds or white tables around the pool cleaned, except when i cleaned my own. all incluvise was only from 11 am till 11pm. you couldnt get a drink of water in the morning after breakfast unless you went back to resturant {no good if you in pool} or if you walked down big hill to a shop and buy 1. We were only allowed 1 drink per person we coudnt double up at 11pm when all inclusive stops. But there were a group of 8 Spanish adults plus 6 children were only 2 adults were all inclusive but they were allowed as many drinks as they wanted. so 4 of the adults didn't need to be all inclusive. it was 1 rule for us and 1 rule for the Spanish. My partner and 1 were asked to move from a 4 seat table in the dinning room while we were eating the place wasn't full and nobody was waiting for a seat, we had used the same table for the first week of our holiday.
Spanish were allowed to sit where they wanted this may sound petty but it was like that in many things. we coudnt drink from plastic cups at pool side nothing was said to Spanish. we couldn't dive in pool, Spanish could. The food was good but you had the same choice day in day out. The restuarant staff worked really hard and most of them were pleasant. most not all af the bar staff were rude and made it clear they preferred spanish to us .
We have been to Benidorm all inclusive in a different hotel before which was brilliant. you could get food and drinks all day long . They entertainment was ok but it didnt start untill 11pm which i thought was a bit boring So we ended up going out most nights. which isnt why we went all inclusive. Don't book this hotel like we did because it was 4 star. that doesnt mean anything I wouldnt go to this hotel again if they paid me, beleive me there lots of 2 and 3 star hotels better than this 1. The staff on reception were really nice, they were always helpfull and very friendly.
Perhaps they could train the bar staff !

“GOOD HOTEL,BUT LEARN THE LANGUAGE”
Reviewed 3 July 2010
The hotel is based on a large hill but fine for us as we enjoy walking, hotel provide free bus if you wish to use it Rooms were average, clean, unfortunatley the corridor carpets were filthy, cotton bud lay on carpet for several days of our 5 day stay, along with general mess Food had a great choice, never experienced having to wait, but identify that it was noisy at peak times, would not complain plenty to eat and wide selection
Drinks over priced, ordered a bottle of white wine, 7 euros, can be bought in local supermarket for 1 euro 20!!!, guess where we went, fridge also in room
Sadly like everywhere if you want a sun lounger get there for 9am as limited loungers around the pool should you choose to wait until later in day to go to pool
Entertainment, unless you speak Spanish you are best to go elsewhere, ie another hotel like we did, glad I had no children with me as I would have felt that they were discriminated as often translation did not occur also did not start until 10.45pm
Well done for getting this far in world cup, sadly the night of the game recently we would have been better off serving ouselves as staff were unable to focus on us who were paying
All in all we had a good holiday but would not rush back to this hotel

“not a four star by far”
I stayed here on the 24th of June for five nights 10 of us in total please find my honest review below.
Food- Always had something different on and of good quality no complaints here plus the service was very good, but be warned get there early other wise you will queue for ages!!!!
Staff- Very friendly and offered good service through out my stay no problems here
Rooms-Very 1980's no where near 4 star, tacky bed lining very old fashioned TV and are very small, but are cleaned well and towels changed every day ,def not 4 star just about manage 2 star.
Pool- Clean but no where near big enough for a hotel of this size and not enough sun beds for all.
Bar- Once again very 1980's decor, but once again staff quick enough to serve and always gave us more than one drink at a time as we was all inclusive.
Lifts- Could only fit four people in at a squeeze and are very poor standard
Surrounding area - Very dodgy, I had my wallet pick pocketed from me on the first night and would def recommend getting a taxi back to the hotel as the walk will kill you.
Final review
This hotel is definitely not a four star by far, if I would have gone with my family I would have been very disappointed , gets very over crowded and had large parties of Spanish children on school trips while I was there, the staff are friendly and helpful but it really could do with being brought up to date, the corridors around the rooms are something from the 1980's like the rooms them selves.
Benidorm New town its self is was clean but very tacky and not somewhere I would take my family for a holiday, the old town is meant to be much nicer!!!

“This hotel has been really disapointing..read on”
I have just come back from a week at Palm Beach Hotel Benidorm.
It looks really glossy on their website and you think wow this is going to be great. I have stayed in a number of four star hotels all inclusive in other resorts through work and on holidays however, this really lacked any four star hotel, I have ever been too. I feel really under sold too. When my sister and I arrived, 300 school children arrived at the same time it was chaos, then a bus load of families arrived too. I was a bit like been in an episode of Grange Hill crossed with Hi de Hi.
The rooms are really small however are clean, I must say it’s the 1980’s decor which gets me. Where the plasma TV and the nice bed linen etc?. I had read somewhere that this hotel had a refurbishment, when I did see a handy man painting a fire door I thought that must be it. The bar area is really drab the aptly called bar Hawaii, oh please old Cain furniture really worn and mirrored walls. Even though people are on holiday we still want to stop in hotels at least with good decor. Maybe from 2000’s?.
I am really not sure what tourists the management of Palm Beach are trying attract. I know we are in a recession however, we have hundreds of school children, stag and hen parties, whose language is disgraceful; I am no prude however with children around its not acceptable. Then we have loads of families young and more mature, mixed in with people trying to soak up the sun.
Trying to get into restaurant is a nightmare queues every night, the management have come up with this traffic light system early night not so busy, later on in the night you will queue. Excuse me this four star hotel, no paying guest wants to queue for their dinner. When you eventually get into the restaurant it’s so noisy. Not enjoyable. It's really spoilt my holiday.
The people I feel so sorry for is dedicated staff who were really hard working, the bar staff having to put with abuse from guests waiting for drinks. The cleaning staff those were lovely. The restaurant waiters/ waitress that were rushed off their feet. Well done to you all I feel for you all you deserve a gold medal each.
I will be writing the management of the Palm Beach and Benidorm tourist board on this I am really not happy, how I have been treated after paying a lot of money.

“this hotel spoiled our holiday DO NOT STAY HERE !”
When we i first arrived at the palm beach i found it to be a nice hotel, the room we stayed in was a little on the small side, and got smaller as we had to have a travel cot put in our room as we had our 7 month old daughter and had to keep the pram in the room so had very little space. this being said we initially found it to be a nice clean room. Later to find out when we got back in the evening to have an infestation of insects.
We stayed all inclusive at this hotel i didnt find this to be good value for money as you were only allowed one drink at a time and i also had to take my daughter to the bar so that i could get water to make her a bottle. i also found that when i was at the bar the bar staff would serve the Spanish and the paying customers first. also i found certain members of the dining staff to be rude and unhelpful. also while staying here it was the spanish school holidays, and had around 200 teenagers staying in the hotel and were on the same floor as us and were running up and down the corridor all the time and were rude, and were playing knock a door run and woke up my daughter a few time.
When i went to reception to complain i was told i could get moved to a higher room and that they were leaving tonight only for more of them to turn up at around 7pm. also the the 3 lift are rubbish as you can just about fit a pram an one person in them and u have . to wait ages for them to come, i waited up to 10-15mins. the slight incline is a very steep hill which is hard to push a pram up and the courtesy bus stops during the day and stops at 10.30pm which meant we had to stay in the hotel or take it in turns to push her up the hill. i would not go back to this hotel and would not recommend it to friends or family. worst hotel i have ever stayed in, and definatley not a 4 star would give it a 2 star plus.

first impression was great!,rooms were 2 tiny the hall ways to the rooms were dingy, the hotel reception staff were very friendly as was the dining hall staff, but for the bar staff thts a different story, they were nothing but ignorant,we were a party of 23 with childern,we went all inculsive,we were made feel like beggers!, at the bar they have a part just for all inclusive people!, they walk past you and serve paying customers first, forgetting that we had payed for are holiday, also if there's spanish sittin at the bar they will be served twice over before they even come near you, if they see drink sitting on your table they,ll refuse to give you anymore!,your only allowed 1 drink at a time per peron,my sons wrist band fell off and he went up looking a drink and the barman refused him even though i went up with him plus he had his band with him,i dont rate the barstaff at all! as for the entertainment that was a joke,it started at 10.45 and was over by 11.30pm,and it was mostly in spanish!,plus your all inclusive starts at 11.00am-11.00pm,oh if you have childern beware as for the walk up to the hotel its more like a mountain walk!!!!,oh they say you can get a free bus yes but you,ve to walk a bit to get it! all in all ill not be back in this hotel, yes ill be back in benidorm but not Hotel Palm Beach!

“Definitely not a 4 star! I would not stay there again.”
I can only presume this hotel got it's four star rating because it has both indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a gym ( which was closed for our entire stay ). It certainly wasn't for food quality which was poor. Dinner choices were limited and accompanying vegetables ill matched. Desserts were the same every night with the exception of a different colour gateau or jelly. Breakfast juice was obviously made up from powder and it tasted like it! Unfortunately, nothing was well cooked either. The rooms were perfectly adequate although the bedding was poor and the external corridors dingy and uninviting. We were kept awake well into the early hours on two or three occasions by noise from outside the bar area. Having said all this the outside pool area was very pleasant and the staff were friendly and helpful.

“Food needs attention”
We spent a week at this hotel at the end of May. Yes, it is a long walk up a steep hill but fortunately we had a car so used that a lot. We did walk up a few times but wouldn't want to do it 3 times a day! The room was big enough with plenty of storage and was kept very clean during our stay. The pool area was good, there were not a lot of guests so most of the time it was very quiet which was nice. The staff all seemed friendly and the reception staff spoke good english. Now for the bad bit, the food left a lot to be desired 5 out of 7 nights I struggled to find a main course to eat. I do not feel a choice of ribs or chicken wings acceptable in a 4 star hotel. The same desserts were wheeled out for the 7 nights, baked apples, profiteroles and something that looked like bread & butter pudding. On our last night the menu improved maybe due to the arrival of a lot of spanish guests? The breakfast was ok but tea & coffee was tasteless and the fruit juice tasted strange so we squeezed our own oranges to make a drink. There was fortunately plenty of fresh fruit at breakfast and dinner so we filled up on that most days. Overall a nice clean hotel but let down by the food so therefore I cannot recommend it.

“this realy should be classed as a 3* not 4*”
impressed when first arrived at the reception but thats where it stops? carpet in the corridors leading to rooms are very poor quality with stains all over (i would not put it in a dog kennel) the paint on the walls were flaking off and the bedrrooms were very basic. Entertainment is all for the spanish (full of them when we stayed) so if you cant speak spanish stay away. Be very careful walking back at night because a lady and her niece were mugged which we believe is a regular accurance in that area.

“Does nothing to stand up to 4 stars.”
Disappointed, the rooms were less than basic, stag and hen parties were rife and did not seem to want the rest of the guests to sleep, we were woken at 3am by noisy party goers speaking to each other using megaphones, running up and down the corridors hammering on doors and running off!. Staff were friendly and food was plentiful albeit a low standard.
NEVER AGAIN.
My advice is to look for another hotel. We will not be going back to this one.
taking up the 2 receptonists time. We were given room 303 and took a lift with the cases. When we entered the roomwe immediately had to back out as the smell of ammonia was very overpowering. I opened the balcony doors and tried to reassure the girls it would probably clear itself. We had 3 beds in one room and it was very cramped. We went straight out eager to make the most of itself. On returning later the smell had cleared. We showered and went down to dinner. I noticed on arrival at the dinner hall that we werent shown to a table yet the spanish guests were. The food was very plain and geared towards the spanish guests. Some was food was cold when i sat down both dinner and tea time. I left that evening feeling hungry. We decided to get a drink in the entertainment bar area and asked for their house cocktail as we were all inclusive but was refused it as they werent included even though they were made up of local branded cheap alcohol, so we had a coke and went into town instead. When we came home that night at 1.30 am we made sure we gave consideration to the other guests and went straight to bed, unfortunately, we had no sleep that night as the romm given was over the reception area and some of the spanish guests thought it funny to scream and shout outside on the front steps of the hotel all night. The next morning feeling sick and tired i went down to reception to make a complaint as we had previously complained in the night and nothing was done about it. I approached reception and started to explain and the receptionist turned to me and said dont look at the other receptionist she doesnt speak english in an arrogant and rude tone of voice, that made me more angry, he said the hotel were not resposible for the noise the guests make on their steps, i told him i wanted another room on the top floor and refused to stay in 303 any longer he just looked at me and said fine it will be ready later today. I get the impressiohn if we had been spanish guests we could of had the world. We had breakfast and it was ok just dont drink the orange juice as it tasted of undiuted squash. We never ate at the hotel for the rest of the 3 days and went out for meals instead, as a four star hotel i expected far better standards of food and definately more courteous staff. On the last morning when we were checking out we went to the bar area at 10.45 to get a soft drink. We were told we would have to pay for it as we were all inclusive we couldnt get served a drink until 11.am i mean doesnt all inclusive mean all day?? On top of that to finish it off the old bartender pointed at us when he spoke and saqid very very rudely 11 to 11 comprende!!! We told him that as guests he should not be speaking to us like that, to which he chose to ignore us , hold up a piece of paper and repeat to us 11 to 11. ANYBODY WHO IS BRITISH PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL AS YOU ARE NOT MADE TO FEEL WELCOME, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS APPALLING AND THE FOOD IS VERY PLAIN BORING AND COLD.

Stayed for 3 nights at the Palm Beach, nice food, nice rooms, very clean but I would recommend you use caution if you are walking back up from the nightlife. Two members of our party were mugged by North Africans so best to travel in a group or catch a taxi!
